Mein Lieblingsmaler Gustav Klimt hat heute Geburtstag. <3

A small teaser I put together from the material (~20 GB) we took when Venus transited across the Sun last month. Unfortunately, a lot sharpness got lost due to conversion from .mov into .avi and finally into .flv for this blog video preview. But also keep in mind that these pictures were only recorded with a common webcam and an amateur telescope. In real time the sequence you see would have been taken about 24 minutes, which I did speed up by a factor of eight. I also added some decent music composed by John Murphy.

Even in this low quality video, some of you may have recognized the so-called black drop effect. This optical phenomenon usually happens during both beginning and end of a transit and appears as a small black “teardrop” connecting Venus’ disk to the limb of the Sun. The next transit of Venus will occur in 2117.

Das Fusion – wie immer genial. Meiner Meinung nach das einzig wahre Festival, denn hier gibt es nicht nur Becks, Dixi-Toiletten, und eins auf die Ohren, sondern richtig viel zu sehen und zum ausprobieren! Theater, Kino, aber vorallem auch grossartige Performance-Kunst und einzigartige Installationen! <3 Die Musik ist zwar grösstenteils gechillt elektrolastig, aber trotzdem findet man hier auch energiegeladenen Punk, astreines Songwriting, und Ska zum abtanzen. Aber eben von Bänds, die man nicht ständig im Radio hört oder auf diversen Musiksendern sieht - und das ist auch gut so! Und der Max Prosa ist mir über den Weg gelaufen. 😀 Kommerzrocker pilgern zu Rock am Ring oder Rock im Park, Veranstaltungen die vielleicht irgendwann in ihren Anfängen noch Charme und Charakter hatten, aber inzwischen nur noch von (mal abschalten)-Bänkern und dem Pöbel besucht werden. Die Elite geht eben aufs Fusion. <3 Impressionen
